Real, Raw, and Rising; Why I Do What I Do

Real, Raw, and Rising; Why I Do What I Do

Showing up even when I’m tired, even when I don’t have it all figured out is the most powerful thing I can do. I didn’t wait for perfect conditions, I built through pressure, through exhaustion and with a fierce love for where I come from. This brand was born out of love for my culture, my people and my purpose. I’m still rising through it all.

This photo wasn’t taken in a studio. There’s no makeup artist, no lighting crew, just me at the end of a real, honest day. It’s raw, unfiltered, and exactly how I want to show up today, because this moment captures everything I stand for.

I’m not just the face behind Kenya Meets USA, I'm the hands that package every item, the heart that picks each fabric. I pour myself into every detail. This brand is my passion, my persistence, and my purpose.

When I started this brand, I didn’t have a huge team or a big budget. What I had was something stronger, a passion for handmade Kenyan artistry, a commitment to cultural pride and a dream for creating something that would connect people across oceans.

This business was born out of sacrifice and love. I’ve worked long hours, balanced multiple jobs, and kept faith even when things felt uncertain. Every piece you see in my store is more than a product, it’s part of a dream. A dream to bring authentic, handmade beauty from Kenya to homes all over the USA and beyond. A dream to make my heritage known, seen, and celebrated.

This photo captures a tired face, but a full heart. A girl with big dreams who’s still showing up, still building and still believing. Thank you for being part of that dream. Every order you make helps carry this story forward.

This photo reminds me that I’m not here to be perfect. I’m here to be real. And in that realness, I find power. I find my why.

Thank you for being part of this journey, for choosing handmade and for supporting a story that’s still being written. Together, we’re not just buying or selling, we’re rising.
