Rachel, the owner and founder of Kenya Meets USA, was born and raised in Kenya, Africa. Her parents started the family business in 1986 and have been in the business for 35 years. As a young girl, Rachel used to work with her parents and help them in the business. When they had orders from clients, she would help them in making the products.

Being the fifth born in a family of six, we all grew up knowing and liking the business as our parents had started it way before any of us were born. We saw how our parents made ends meet through the business.Upon completion of high school, Rachel who had already developed a passion for the business joined her parents in the business and attended trade fairs around Nairobi, Kenya selling the products.Upon moving to the United States of America, Rachel decided to continue with the business and rename it Kenya Meets USA. This is because she wanted to bring the Kenyan culture to the United States and enhance people’s lives through creativity and innovation.
